Death to the PDF manual

The Old Way

  • Writing documentation takes hours
  • Screenshots become outdated instantly
  • Nuance is lost in bullet points
  • Files trapped in proprietary clouds

The Capme Way

  • Record a walkthrough in seconds
  • Video captures the truth of the UI
  • Voiceover adds critical context
  • MP4/WebM files you own forever
How it works

The knowledge capture loop

Three steps to replace a meeting.

1

Record the answer

Don't just fix the problem—record the fix. Capture your screen and voice in one take.

2

Save locally

No uploading, no processing. The video file is saved instantly to your hard drive.

3

Drag & drop anywhere

Drop the file into Slack, Teams, Notion, or Jira. It works wherever your team works.

Who needs a video wiki?

Empower your team to solve their own problems. Turn ad-hoc answers into permanent assets.

Ticket resolution (2:00)

Paste a video answer into the support ticket instead of writing a novel.

Bug reproduction (1:30)

Show engineering exactly how to trigger the error.

Customer macros (3:00)

Pre-recorded guides for common customer questions.

The missing layer of your knowledge stack

Capme videos don't live on an island. They embed instantly into the tools you already use, adding deep context to flat text.

The power of having the file

SaaS tools trap your data. If you stop paying for Loom, your videos disappear.

Capme is different. We give you the file. You own it. You can host it on your own servers, back it up to your own cold storage, or email it as an attachment. We believe documentation should be durable.

Common Questions

Everything you need to know about switching workflows.

Where are the videos hosted?+
Nowhere—unless you want them to be. Capme saves files directly to your computer. You can upload them to your company's Google Drive, SharePoint, or internal server. We don't see, process, or store your recordings.
How do I share the video?+
Just drag and drop the file. It works exactly like sending a PDF or an image. Drop it into Slack, attach it to a Jira ticket, or embed it in a Notion doc.
Does it transcribe the audio?+
Not currently. To maintain our strict local-first privacy stance, we do not send your audio to third-party transcription APIs. This ensures your sensitive conversations stay private.
Can I search the videos?+
Capme is the creation tool, not the hosting platform. You rely on the search capabilities of the tool you paste the video into (like searching for the Jira ticket title or the Notion page name).
Is this compliant for enterprise?+
Yes. Because we don't touch your data, Capme bypasses most complex vendor security reviews. It's just a tool making files on your local machine, similar to taking a screenshot.
